The city of Corpus Christi issued the following press release:

The City of Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation and Police Departments advise residents that in anticipation of high water along the coast from Tropical Storm Dolly, all of the City's beach access roads on Padre and Mustang Islands will be closed at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008.

Because of the expected high tides, and the possibility of dangerous rip currents, citizens are asked to stay away from the island beaches until officials determine it is safe to reopen them. In addition, as a precautionary measure, officials are again encouraging those ...
