The Tennessee Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely joined state and local officials in Rutherford County today to break ground on a new State Route 99 widening project. The project is four and a half miles in length and stretches from SR 16 to west of Concord Road. Once finished, the project will provide a number of improvements to this busy stretch of roadway.
"State Route 99 is an important route for people traveling from Murfreesboro to Eagleville and west to some of our southern counties like Marshall and Maury," said Commissioner Nicely. "This project will improve capacity and safety for ...
