Article: SOUTH LOS ANGELES FAST FOOD INTERIM CONTROL ORDINANCE APPROVED BY COUNCIL COMMITTEE

The City of Los Angeles issued the following news release:

An Interim Control Ordinance (ICO) drafted in response to a motion, authored by Councilwoman Jan Perry and seconded by Councilman Bernard Parks, was approved today by the City Council's Planning and Land Use Management Committee (PLUM) and is set to move forward to the City Council for a vote. The ordinance proposes a 1-year period which prevents new fast food establishments from opening in the South Los Angeles, Southeast Los Angeles, West Adams, Baldwin Hills and Leimert Park community planning areas.
