American ballerina Sallie Wilson, who danced with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre, died at the age of 76 on April 27 of cancer. Born in Fort Worth, TX, Wilson's dramatic portrayals in ballets such as Antony Tudor's Lilac Garden, Dim Lustre and, most notably. Pillar of Fire, remain hallmarks of interpretation. She was also acclaimed for her Lizzie Borden in Agnes de Mule's Fall River Legend.
