Freelance dancer Laura Feig succeeds by making her own opportunities.

In 2005, dancer Laura Feig left Atlanta Ballet, where she'd been for 10 years, to join the touring company of Twyla Tharp's Broadway show Movin ' Out. It was the first step in what would lead to a somewhat unconventional career path for the ballet dancer.

"I danced with Movin' Out for one year, and then suddenly it finished-in the middle of a season!" she says. "I wasn't sure what to do. So I got aggressive."
