Article: SENS. LEAHY, SPECTER, BAYH, VOINOVICH INTRODUCE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS ENFORCEMENT LEGISLATION

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt., issued the following news release:

Leading advocates in the Senate today will introduce legislation to protect American innovation and address intellectual property rights enforcement.

The Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights Act of 2008 will be introduced in the Senate by Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and Ranking Member Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), and is co-sponsored by Sens. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.), George Voinovich (R-Ohio). Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) are also cosponsors of the bill.
