Rep. Tom Udall, D-N.M. (3rd CD), issued the following news release:
U.S. Representative Tom Udall, D-N.M., supported legislation that will protect the Federal Highway Trust Fund from a 34 percent shortfall that could cost New Mexico nearly 4,000 jobs and make the state unable to complete much needed highway projects. In a separate vote, Udall also backed legislation that will provide $2.9 million to create jobs building and repairing bridges throughout New Mexico.
"At a time when New Mexico families are struggling to make ends meet," said Udall, "this legislation will protect thousands of New Mexico workers from losing their jobs. Today's legislation will keep New Mexicans at work building ...
