Anglo American plc announced that Neville Nicolau has been appointed CEO of Anglo Platinum and will join the Executive Committee of Anglo American plc. Duncan Wanblad, joint acting CEO of Anglo Platinum, has been appointed CEO of copper in the base metals division of Anglo American.

Abacus Mining & Exploration Corp. announced the appointment of Andrew Pooler as executive vice president and COO.

Chromex Mining plc announced that Russell Lamming has been named chief executive; Guy Gibbons has been named finance director; Graham Stacey has been named COO. Nigel Wyatt has stepped down from his position as chief executive but will remain on the board as an executive director.
