Article: EXTRADITION SOUGHT OF MAN ARRESTED IN TOWSON LAST WEEK CHARGED IN BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS ARMED BANK ROBBERY

The U.S. Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Investigation Baltimore Field Office issued the following press release:

Baltimore, Maryland - A complaint was filed on July 16, 2008 against Ricky Terrence Powell, age 20, of the U.S. Virgin Islands and residing in Towson, seeking his arrest and extradition to the British Virgin Islands to stand trial on charges relating to the August 2007 armed robbery of the National Bank of the Virgin Islands, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein. Powell was arrested on July 18, 2008 and was ordered to be detained after a hearing today.
