This performance has circulated in the underground for years-most amusingly so on Everest LPs in the 1960s, where it was identified as having come from the Bolshoi, with del Monaco cor-rectly named but the other two principals labeled as Irena Arkhipova and Alexei Ivanov! When Everest learned that they had a Met broadcast on their hands, they withdrew it very rapidly.
