MILLS FAIRLY UNSCATHED BY EARTHQUAKE IN CHINA

The Hong Kong-based tissue producer Vinda International Holdings has reported that its mill in Deyang city, Sichuan province, China, escaped relatively unscathed from the 7.9-magnitude earthquake that hit the area on May 12.

Vinda contacted employees at its plant immediately after the earthquake and found there were no deaths or injuries. There is also no material damage to the equipment or buildings reported at the facility.
