GOV. BLUNT ANNOUNCES MISSOURI RECEIVES NEARLY $30 MILLION IN HOMELAND SECURITY GRANTS

Gov. Matt Blunt, R-Mo., issued the following press release:

Gov. Matt Blunt today announced that the United States Department of Homeland Security recently awarded Missouri $29,952,110 in grant funding.

"One of the greatest responsibilities of state government is keeping Missourians safe. This federal funding will assist our ongoing safety and security initiatives at the state level," Gov. Blunt said. "Since 2005 we have worked to ensure proper homeland security plans are in place at both the local and state level and to examine how homeland security grant funds can be best used to protect Missouri families."
