The office of Sen. John F. Kerry, D-Mass., issued the following news release:
Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Bob Casey (D-Pa.) sent a letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to question the future of private security contractors in the wake of Blackwater Worldwide's recent decision to shift its focus away from private security contracting.
On June 5, Sen. Kerry wrote to Sec. Rice questioning the Department of State's decision to renew its contract with Blackwater.
