Article: ROOFING COMPANY PRESIDENT PLEADS GUILTY TO CONSPIRACY TO HIRE ILLEGAL ALIENS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued the following press release:

The president of a Kansas City, Mo., area roofing company pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to conspiring to hire illegal aliens to work for several area roofing companies. This guilty plea was announced by U.S. Attorney John F. Wood, Western District of Missouri. The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agencies.

Tony Evans, 49, of Stillwell, Kan., pleaded guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah W. Hays July 29 to the charges contained in a May 29, 2007, federal indictment.
