Article: GRAMMY-WINNING BLUEGRASS BAND WILL PERFORM AT OUTDOOR CONCERT SERIES AT KENNESAW STATE

Kennesaw State University issued the following news release:

The College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University will host the Nashville Bluegrass Band in the outdoor Starlight Summer Concert Series at the Legacy Gazebo Amphitheater on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy an evening of the bluegrass woven into songs from the African-American gospel and folk tradition.

The Nashville Bluegrass Band has won two Grammy Awards and received international recognition. In 2006, the band was invited to the White House to perform for Chinese president Hu Jintao.
