Chamber music: It's not just for grown-ups anymore
THE AUDI TRIO RECENTLY MADE its public debut. The ensemblecomprised of my nephew violinist Benjamin, 10; and nieces, cellist Arella, 9, and pianist Leora, 7-performed one of Brahms' Hungarian Dances, arranged for kid trio.
I'd first heard the trio perform in my parents' living room last Thanksgiving. Their subsequent tour launched at the public library in Teaneck, New Jersey, as a finale in a chamber-music concert in which their mother, a pianist, and grandparents Allan and Ellie Schillerboth violinists-had performed.
