VA is living up to its commitment to improve services to those seriously injured in Iraq and Afghanistan by creating a new Federal Recovery Coordinator Program (FRCP). As part of the program, VA workers have been deployed to key military treatment facilities around the country. The program functions with coordination between DoD agencies and the Department of Health and Human Services. Designed to cut across bureaucratic lines, the program reaches into the private sector as necessary to identify services needed by seriously wounded and ill service members, veterans and their families.
