During Allyson Gierke's many travels throughout Europe and Asia and all over the United States, she has stumbled upon numerous locally owned boutiques selling unique home decor items.
That got her thinking: Why wouldn't a shop like that work in Billings?
"I appreciate art and design, and I wanted a venue to bring certain art pieces, interesting designs and fun gifts together in one location," she said. "I have an eye for things that are aesthetically pleasing."
Gierke owns and operates Luxe, at 1528 24th Street West, in the complex shared by Scandia Down and the Sanctuary Spa The shop specializes in art objects for the home created by local artists.
