NEW YORK -- When the first team bus pulled into Shea Stadium, many Phillies players already had arrived for a 12:10 matinee that would decide first place in the National League East.
When the second and final bus arrived, the entire traveling party had arrived ... minus a certain reigning league MVP.
Jimmy Rollins, who opted to find his own way from Manhattan to Queens, was stuck in traffic.
Give or take a few minutes, J-Roll finally arrived around 11 a.m., an hour after the last bus arrived.
