Africa has suffered two traumatic post elections experiences this year in Kenya and Zimbabwe. So the world will be watching closely as Angolans go to the polls in September for the first time in sixteen years and only the second time in the country's history.
tHE FIRST DEMOCRATIC AND MULTIPARTY elections in Angola were held in 1992, the outcome led to a resumption of civil war and many voters became disillusioned. Now the population is overwhelmingly young and so a new generation that remembers little of those elections will be voting for the first time.
