The Wi Ci Ti Zon group home also known as the Keeseekoose group home; is being re-opend after being closed for four months.
Located near Kamsack the home opened in 2001. It provides services to female youth between the ages of 12 to 17 who require staffed care.
The group home has been temporarily closed since Febuary, 2008 due to concerns about on-going care and treatment of children.
According to a news release from the ministry the areas of concern have been addressed and new policies and procedures will be in effect to meet provincial standards such as staff training, increased supervision, fire safety issues as well as a monitoring role for the ministry.
