The city of Clovis issued the following news release:

The Clovis Pet Adoption Center holds its third annual fundraiser dinner in the Clovis Veterans Memorial Building starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 16th. The fundraiser is to help build a new facility to accommodate more adoptable dogs and cats complete with areas for medical care, reclaiming lost pets and licensing, and for less socialized animals which could become adoptable through volunteer work or rescue organizations.
