Rep. Steven E. Buyer, R-Ind. (4th CD), issued the following press release:

Indiana Congressman Steve Buyer offered an amendment to the 2009 Military Construction, Veteran Affairs, and Related Agencies (MILCON/VA) Appropriations Act that was passed in the House of Representatives on August 1, 2008. The amendment would provide for $7 million to be used for the VA to install alternative fueling stations at thirty-five of its medical facility campuses across the country. This is one of the many steps that can be taken to address the impact of rising energy prices and alleviate our nation's dependence on foreign oil.
