Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y. (8th CD), issued the following press release:
Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-08), whose district includes Ground Zero, today appeared before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health to urge lawmakers to adopt H.R. 6594, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2008.
'This is the beginning of the end of a collective seven-year struggle in advancing this important issue,' said Rep. Nadler. 'This bill will ensure that the living victims of the 9/11 attacks have a right to health care for their World Trade Center-related illnesses and a route to compensation for their economic losses.
