PART OF THE SERIES Studies on Personalities of the Old Testament, this book focuses on both Abraham and the family in which he is embedded. In so doing, Terence Fretheim has refrained from examining Abraham in isolation. Such a tactic is consistent with Fretheim's convictions that the literature concerning Abraham (Gen 12-25) is linked to Gen 1-11. "Creational themes" remain important in the stories about Abraham.
