WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 -- Rep. Gene Green, D-Texas, has introduced a resolution (H.Res. 1395) "expressing concern over the current federal policy that allows the exportation of toxic electronic waste to developing nations, and expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the U.S. should join other developed nations and ban the exportation of toxic electronic waste to developing nations."
The resolution, introduced on July 31, was co-sponsored by Reps. Mike Thompson, D-California; Mike Honda, D-California; and G.K. Butterfield, D-North Carolina. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
