Article: French Inventors Develop Three-Dimensional Fiber Structure Making Method

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- Nathalie Nicolaus and Eric Sion, both of Lyons, France, Pierre Olry of Bordeaux, France, Yannick Claude Breton of Orleans, France, Sylvie Bonnamy of Orleans la Source, France, and Christian Robin-Brosse of Le Haillan, France, have developed a three-dimensional fiber structure.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Carbon nanotubes are incorporated in the fiber structure by growing them on the refractory fibers of the substrate so as to obtain a three-dimensional substrate made of refractory fibers and enriched in carbon nanotubes.
