The National Association of Manufacturers issued the following news release:
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) today called upon the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to honor a request from a bipartisan group of 20 legislators to conduct a pilot program on the proposed 10+2 rule. In January 2008, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) proposed a new rule known as 10+2 that will negatively impact just-in-time manufacturing and require importers to completely restructure their supply chains.
