MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN TRANSPORTATION SAFETY
This was the theme of ITE s 2008 Technical Conference and Exhibit in Miami, FL, USA. The program was filled with sessions on how to make roads safer through:
* better safety policies and programs;
* better data analysis tools;
* better engineering and operations; and
* better enforcement programs.
For the past several years, ITE has done a very good job of taking the lessons learned and the information gathered at the Technical Conference and making it available through multiple venues and media to more members (and nonmembers) who are not able to attend in person.
