The ITE 2008 Technical Conference and Exhibit was held in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). FHWAs sponsorship of eight transportation professionals at the conference assisted ITE in sharing information and continuing the dialogue generated on safety issues. During the closing session of the Technical Conference, professionals shared their perspectives on the presentations they heard. ITE continues the dialogue via this special issue of ITE Journal and ITE Web Briefings on safety issues.
The theme of the ITE 2008 Technical Conference and Exhibit, held in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), was "Making a Difference in Transportation Safety." ...
