Gov. Matt Blunt today discussed the need for greater energy production and energy independence at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Southern Governors Association.
"It is no secret that energy is vital for America. Just as the human body needs energy to grow, so our state and national economy needs energy to flourish. But we need not accept that our energy sources must always come from foreign sources," Gov. Blunt said.
