Article: German, Swiss Inventors Develop Perforated Thermoplastic Lamination

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 9 -- Mathias Muth of Wiesbaden, Germany, Henning Roettger of Braunschweig, Germany, and Joachim Bauer of Seuzach, Switzerland, have developed a perforated thermoplastic structure.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a perforated thermoplastic structure comprising at least a first layer and a plurality of perforations, which extend through the first layer. The perforations have a three-dimensional, preferably approximately conical or cylindrical shape.
