Article: Chinese Inventors Develop Air Purifier, Front-Load Electrodes

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- Shengwen Leng and Guangsheng Liu, both of Shenzen, China, have developed an air purifier with electrodes.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An air purifier with front-loading electrodes includes an electrode-loading compartment for storing the plate electrodes. When the air purifier is in a closed configuration, the electrode loading compartment cooperates with the housing to fully enclose the plate electrodes. When the plate electrodes need to be removed, the electrode loading compartment can be moved translationally with respect to the housing to define a gap there between.
