Article: WVU Law Clinic to Offer Services to Entrepreneurs

MORGANTOWN - The clinics at the College of Law at West Virginia University provide Legal services to people who can't afford them while giving students real, on-the-ground experience.

Low-income families, immigrants in distress and convicted felons seeking review of their cases get legal assistance while law students under supervision learn the basics of their trade.

Starting this fall, the college will provide those services to an entirely new group: entrepreneurs.

"The Entrepreneurship Clinic will focus on the kinds of legal issues confronted by entrepreneurs, particularly at start-up, but it's also going to address the protection of intellectual property," Dean Joyce McConnell said.
