WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 -- Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-California, has introduced the Filipino Veterans Assistance Act of 2008 (H.R. 6645), legislation that would "authorize assistance to the Republic of the Philippines for the purpose of providing benefits to certain Filipino World War II veterans."

The bill was introduced on July 29. It was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
