The city of Reno issued the following news release:

Reno's Mayor and members of City Council held a news conference on August 11, 2008 to make the community aware of the City's efforts to secure the maximum allocation from the "Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008" and help as many Reno residents as possible who are facing foreclosure.

The City of Reno is not waiting for announcements from Washington D.C. regarding the implementation of the legislation. The City of Reno is being very pro-active in securing as much federal funding as possible to help homeowners facing this problem.
