The city of Vail issued the following news release:
Art in Public Places today announced that the summer's final public art walking tours will be held on Aug. 17 and Aug. 31.
The public art walking tours are a program of AIPP and lead by Leslie Fordham, AIPP coordinator. Tour attendees meet in front of the Colorado Ski Museum on the third floor of the Vail Village parking structure (adjacent to the Covered Bridge) at 3 p.m. Tours end at 4:30 p.m. and are free.
Attendees get immersed into some of the more well known sculptures in Vail, including the 10th Mountain Division Memorial and newer works like the railings on the Gore Creek promenade pedestrian bridge. Overall, the history of the ...
