Congressional Testimony on Telecom and Video Services Accessibility

On May 1, AG Bell Members Rachel Dubin and Bonnie Ahmed, and AG Bell Director of Programs Judy Harrison attended a Congressional hearing on potential legislation to make telecommunications and video services more accessible for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing. Under U.S. law, most TVs and telephones are required to be outfitted with special features for people with hearing, vision and speech impairments. This new legislation, drafted by Rep.
