Funding approved for performing arts high school in New Jersey.
The future performers of New Jersey's Union County will soon have a public high school to call their own. The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders recently approved $20 million in funding for the new Academy for Performing Arts, which will operate in partnership with Kean University.
Of the funding, $15 million will go toward the construction of a 42,000-square-foot facility, which will include classrooms and offices, a theater, large performance studio, dressing rooms and storage space. The ...
