THREEPRIORITIES
1 Find a pass rush.
For the Tampa 2 defense to work, the front four must get a consistent pass rush. It didn't last year, which is largely why the Lions fell apart in the second half. RE Dewayne White and DT Cory Redding must be leaders and set the tone in camp. The team needs a starting-caliber left end.
2 Look for the big guys.
The Lions plan to put more emphasis on getting the ball to Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams-and that timing and chemistry must be established in camp. QB Jon Kitna has to get comfortable with when and where to go to his big receivers.
3 Cut the rookies loose.
