Conspicuous consumption has, at least in my lifetime, never been so socially unacceptable. Lucky for us there are cars such as the Toyota Matrix to meet our needs for practicality and cargo versatility without leaving a sasquatch-sized carbon footprint in its wake.
A model that has been on our roads since 2002, the Matrix is now entering its second generation with an evolutionary yet thoroughly updated package. On its own, one can easily identify it as a Matrix, which isn't a bad thing given the car's popularity and attractive proportions.
