It was appropriately hot at the June summer meeting in Lost Pines. Humid, too. But that's not what I'll remember from that meeting. Generosity is the memory that sticks in my mind.
One of the best ways to pass time for me is to see friends and catch up on the news. The registration table at our meetings is the perfect place to do that and I had the good fortune to get a shift or two helping with registration.
After the early morning flurry of handing out tickets and printing name badges, most members made their way into the meetings. When it was quiet in the foyer, a member brought a check to the registration table and asked Larry Gray how the families of two of our former special rangers ...
