Article: CITY OF ORLANDO MONITORING TROPICAL STORM FAY

The city of Orlando issued the following news release:

The City of Orlando continues to monitor Tropical Storm Fay. According to the National Hurricane Center, residents can expect heavy rains, slight wind gusts and a minor possibility of tornados overnight.

Accordingly, all residents are encouraged to stay off the roads unless it's absolutely necessary.

Residents should also note the following information:

The City of Orlando Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the Emergency Information Line, 407-246-4268, will close at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, August 19, 2008. The City will continue to monitor the situation for any changes.

WEDNESDAY: City Hall will be open Wednesday as normal.
