ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 21 -- Paul W. McBurney and Frederic Vaucher, both of San Francisco, have developed a method for operating navigation satellite receivers.
According to a description of the invention, released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to navigation satellite receivers, and more particularly to methods and systems for operating navigation satellite receivers with less than a full ephemeris almanac."
The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,415,353 on Aug. 19.
