Minnesota State Colleges and Universities issued the following news release:

A 150-year timeline that traces the beginning of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system will be on display in the system's State Fair booth.

The timeline is part of the state's sesquicentennial celebration and shows the system had its beginnings when Winona State University was founded in 1858. This year's booth, in the Education Building on Cosgrove Street near the fair's main entrance, also will feature a giant interactive map of Minnesota showing all 53 system campuses.
