Article: 5K RUN TO BENEFIT ALPHARETTA'S POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE

The city of Alpharetta issued the following press release:

As many Americans watch the United States track and field Olympians capture monumental medals, planning is under way for a road race benefiting Alpharetta's Police Athletic League.

Runners are invited to the second annual Jackson Healthcare 5K race Saturday, Oct. 18, starting at 8 a.m.

The run starts and finishes at the new Jackson Healthcare building at 2655 Northwinds Parkway in Alpharetta, located between Haynes Bridge and Kimball Bridge roads. Jackson Healthcare is the title sponsor, having donated $25,000 to PAL.

The events include a 5K run, a 1-mile fun run/walk and a free 50-foot Tot Trot, also know as a "diaper dash." Custom ...
