The District of Columbia Office of Homeland Security issued the following news release:
The District of Columbia has planned a month of preparedness activities focusing on all segments of the community in observance of National Preparedness Month, which is held annually in September.
The District will kick off the 2008 observance with a preparedness fair, noon to 2 pm, Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Franklin Square Park located at K and I Streets between 13th and 14th streets, NW.
