Officials will spend the next year trying to figure out why an increasing number of Upper Bucks Area Vocational Technical School students start but don't stay.

Vo-tech officials told board members at their meeting Thursday night they will do a better job of tracking student retention rates and reasons why students drop out of programs.

"We're low this year," said Carl Shannon, who compiled student enrollment figures for the fall semester. "Our problem is not with new students. Our problem is retention."
