Schneider National said Nestlé USA has selected the carrier as a top intermodal provider when the shipper consolidates its North American rail-truck network.

The statement issued July 16 by Schneider, Green Bay, Wis., said that in its expanded role, it will move products from manufacturing plants to Nestlé distribution centers. Those centers are located in Mira Loma, Calif.; DeKalb, 111.; Breinigsville, Pa.; Fort Worth, Texas; and McDonough, Ga.

Schneider was one of two intermodal providers selected by Nestlé.
