Hino Gets New President
Sumio Fukaya was appointed president and chief executive officer of the Hino Trucks division of Hino Motor Sales USA Inc., a Toyota Group company. Fukaya succeeds Hiroji Kurayama, who served as president since 2005. Fukaya launched Toyota Group subsidiary Toyota South Africa Ltd. and served as the company's executive vice president and chief financial officer until transferring to Hino Motors in 2005. Fukaya previously worked on the expansion of the European, Middle Eastern and North and South American markets and, in particular, the Brazil, Russia, India and China markets for Toyota.
